The Mall Blackburn’s free Halloween activities got off to a ghouslishly great start with children visiting from across the county!
The spooktacular den of workshops, wizardry and wows includes storytelling, treasure hunts, prizes and creepy crafts.
It kicked off on Monday 21st October and will last until Sunday 27th October.
Witches and wizards were first on the guest list and children joined Harry and his wacky professor on an adventure to defeat the dark lord, which includes brilliant broomstick training and spell casting classes. They will be back on Sunday to round off the week!
Tuesday and Friday will give kids the chance to team up with the ghost busters to rid the world of evil spirits! They will go on a scientific quest to discover how ghosts can exist, where to find them and how to defeat them once and for all!
Last, but not least, on Wednesday and Saturday, princesses will be pitted against villains in a battle of good vs bad – with plenty of fun for little ones.
Sukina Khan, who brought her children Aarya and Amaan from Burnley, said: “We’ve had a ‘spooktacular time here at The Mall and the kids really enjoyed learning how to cast magic spells!”
Kelly Spence from Blackburn came along with her son Rias Hussain, who was spellbound by the characters! She said: “What a brilliant experience! Rias was captivated by the wizard and his assistant – I would highly recommend a visit!”
Loraine Jones, General Manager at The Mall Blackburn, said: “Our spooktacular den was a huge hit with children of all ages yesterday and today is looking busy too!
“With the summer holiday a distant memory and Christmas just around the corner, we understand that parents can struggle to fill the days in the school holidays, so as usual, all our activities are free!
“The characters look amazing and enjoy every second of what they do, which means children get so much more from the experience!”
The den will be open from 11.00am to 1.15pm and 1.45pm to 4.00pm.
