There’s another opportunity for town centre employees to take a guided tour of the regeneration projects in Blackburn this Friday, when the Blackburn BID and Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council stage another of their popular ‘Walk the Walk’ partnership activities.
The guided tour this Friday includes an update on the bus station, The Mall, Cathedral Quarter, Blackburn Youth Zone, Townscape Heritage Initiatives along Blakey Moor and King William Street projects.
The Walk the Walk activities were developed by the Business in the Community Healthy High Streets team of business managers in Blackburn to encourage staff to take an interest and a pride in the regeneration of the town centre. Staff from the council, Boots, Greggs, Santander, The Mall and Marks and Spencer have taken part in previous walks.
Participants are asked to meet at the Visitor Centre on Blackburn Market from 11.45am departing at 12 noon. The guided tour lasts approximately 1 hour and organisers advise appropriate walking shoes and clothing should be worn.
