Visitors will be able to watch Ted McDermott’s highlights over the past few months live on a giant screen during Blackburn’s BIG Christmas Lights Switch On this Saturday.
The East Ribble District Freemasons have sponsored a giant screen making it possible to broadcast Ted’s famous videos live whilst ensuring a good view for visitors.
There will be a collection on the night coordinated by the Freemasons with all proceeds being donated to the Alzheimer’s Society who have supported Ted and his family.
David Lightbown, Chairman of the East Ribble District of Freemasons, said: “Over the last few years we have made great inroads with our aims to promote our “Freemasonry in the Community Project” with our motto being “we’re here to care “. This has been achieved by supporting local charities and worthy causes, not only by financial donations but also by practical assistance, this event being another example of our initiatives as we continue with our objectives in the future.”
Organisers of the event, which starts at 4pm on Saturday, 26th November, are hoping Ted will be able to perform live on the night.
