- Great deals
- A safe way to shop

Test & Trace Scheme
A national and local approach to the NHS Test & Trace system, which has been successfully used in Blackburn with Darwen, Luton and Leicester and is now being offered to all local authorities. Under the system, have dedicated ring-fenced teams from the national service, who work on tracing contacts for those who have tested positive for Coronavirus. If the dedicated national team cannot make contact with a resident within a set period of time, the local public health officials can use the data provided by NHS Test and Trace to follow up, which in some pilot areas such as Blackburn, has involved local authority teams and voluntary partners visiting people at home. Re-opening of Visitors Centre & Safety Posters Available to Collect
Blackburn’s Visitors Centre has now re-opened on Blackburn Market. Posters produced by the Council to help you with managing Covid-safety in your businesses are now available to collect from there. If you’ve already requested posters via email, I will be arranging for the requested posters to be dropped off with you this week.
Support our Greatest Bank Holiday Drive-In Show
Can you help support our ‘Greatest Bank Holiday Drive-In Show’ event, taking place on Sunday 30 August? The idea is to provide a safe, fun-filled, family attraction in Blackburn town centre, and to include with the tickets, free parking so that ticketholders are encouraged to visit Blackburn town centre after the show and have a great day out. I would like to be able to offer extra incentives to ticketholders such as discounts or special offers on production of their ticket on the day. If you can offer anything as part of this please let me know – your offer will be promoted as part of the promotion of the event. Tickets and more information can be found here: www.ticketsource.co.uk/blackburnbid
Face coverings in Court buildings.
The Guidance for the safe use of Court and Tribunal buildings has been updated today to include that the Court Service is now asking that court and tribunal users wear a face covering in all public and communal parts of our buildings in England. You can ask a member of staff for a face covering if you need one, though they request that you bring your own.
