The Mall Blackburn is giving local schools the chance to win £250 worth of supplies by asking pupils to create posters highlighting the need for people to stay safe in the coming months.
With separate categories for primary and secondary schools, there are also individual prizes of a Kindle or a Virtual Reality headset for the children that produce the winning designs.
The chosen primary and secondary schools will each receive £250 of supplies from The Mall’s retailers.
Posters will be printed and displayed in The Mall. Deadline for entries is 5.00pm on Friday 16th October and all artwork must be emailed to email@example.com
Loraine Jones, General Manager at The Mall Blackburn, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer this prize to schools as teachers have worked so hard to welcome students back.
“With rules and regulations once again changing, we are asking pupils to create posters to inspire the community to stay safe and take care of themselves this winter.
“Everyone is used to seeing the same kind of signage everywhere they go, so I am sure that the designs the youngsters come up with will really stand out and reinforce the messaging.
“We all need to come together and work collectively in the next few months and this competition gives children a voice while inspiring them to be creative.
“Everyone here is looking forward to seeing what pupils come up with and we can’t wait to see the posters in pride of place in The Mall.”
The competition is open to all schools across Blackburn with Darwen and the designs will also be featured on The Mall’s social media channels.
