The Mall Blackburn is braced for its busiest week of the year with extended Santa’s Workshop hours, late night shopping and a charity gift-wrapping service.
Following the huge success of last year’s Santa’s Workshop, The Mall worked with Father Christmas and Baubles the fairy to build a bigger and even more magical experience for children and adults alike.
It has an amazing workshop area that explains scientific facts such as how there is enough energy in a plate of cookies to power that all-important sleigh across the world and a toy hall of fame full of Christmas wish favourites from yesteryear.
In addition there is a stunning Santa’s study, where they will meet the man himself and a winter wonderland snow shower to complete the journey.
Santa’s Workshop will be open until 7pm from Wednesday 19th December until Saturday 22nd December and then until 4pm on Sunday 23rd and Christmas Eve. With many time slots now full, booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.
The Mall will also be open from 9.00am until 8.00pm from Wednesday 19th until Saturday 22nd December, 10.30am until 4.30pm on Sunday 23rd December and, for those that like to leave everything until the last minute, it will be open from 9.00am until 4.30pm until Christmas Eve.
Christmas wrapping will also be available until Christmas Eve, with several charitable organisations providing the service to raise funds.
Volunteers from The Mall’s charity of the year Theo’s Warriors, the Specsavers campaign for Derian House, Age UK, Kieran’s Angels and North West Air Ambulance will all be providing their service to help shoppers get Christmas wrapped up!
Loraine Jones, General Manager at The Mall Blackburn, said: “The festive season is now in full swing and we have been very busy here in The Mall.
“Our Santa’s Workshop experience was a massive hit last year and we worked hard to ensure that we built on this success to become the must visit Santa destination in the area.
“Every little detail has been designed to ensure a magical time is had by all and extended opening hours mean more children get the chance to learn all about the magic of Christmas!
“Our late night shopping is always really popular too and offering it across several days means that people can shop at a time that is convenient to them.
“Of course, we all know that wrapping presents can take up precious time so our army of volunteers is ready to take the task on!
“I would like to take this opportunity to wish all our shoppers, past, present and future, a peaceful Christmas and a prosperous New Year!”
