Remembrance services are being held around the borough in November to commemorate the lives lost in the two world wars and other conflicts.
The events are organised by the Royal British Legion and Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.
- On Friday November 11 there will be a two minute silence outside both Blackburn Town Hall and Darwen Town Hall, honouring all who have given their lives for our country. The services will begin at 11am.
- Remembrance Sunday, November 13. United Service of Remembrance at Blackburn Cathedral at 9.30am. Following this service, a parade will form on King William Street, moving at 10.25am to the Corporation Park Gardens of Remembrance for a wreath laying service.
