Support, Inspire & Promote – Small Business Saturday

The National Campaign “Small Business Saturday” exists to support, inspire and promote small businesses across the country. This year’s event takes place on Saturday 6th December 2014.

Blackburn is using the event to promote the range of small independent retailers and businesses in the town as a stepping stone to help these businesses gain new customers and thrive on the High Street.

Independent retailers in the town include shops within The Mall as well as the surrounding streets, such as Darwen Street, Fleming Square, St’ Peter’s Street, King Street, Northgate and King William Street. The range of independent shops in the town is outstanding.

Council Leader, Kate Hollern, is keen to help the campaign and is holding a business breakfast meeting at Liz ‘n’ Lils at 8am on Thursday 16th October for businesses to chat about what they think should happen in the town on Small Business Saturday so that together we can shout about the best of what Blackburn has to offer.
