A street food feast from around the world including locally produced pies, gourmet burgers, pizzas, Indian and Thai fare will be served this Saturday (30th September 2017) at the Blackburn BID’s Autumn Street Fair.
King William Street will come to life between 10am and 4pm with the bright blue market stalls featuring homemade cakes, crafts and candles. Entertainment will be provided by Blackburn’s own People’s Choir and Blow Jangles on the pop-up band stand. There will also be a display of Owls and Hawks as well as fairground rides.
Keeping the culinary theme going, Blackburn Market will be hosting Katy Ashworth from CBeebies “I Can Cook” on the same day from 1pm – 3pm. Katy was due to attend an event earlier in year but due to the closure of the M6 on the day was unable to make it. Fans of the TV star will be able to meet Katy in the market.
Harriet Roberts, Blackburn BID organiser said, ‘There’s always a buzz around town when the street fairs are held. We have had a really positive response from our business members who says that the events have been successful in increasing footfall and bringing new visitors into the town to shop on Saturdays.’
The Street Fair runs from 10am to 4pm on King William Street and Town Hall Square on Saturday 30th September 2017
