Blackburn’s Business Improvement District (BID) presented staff at Taylors Solicitors with hand-signed celebrity memorabilia as a token of appreciation for hosting the stars of Blackburn’s Christmas lights switch on.
Taylors Solicitors, who hosted the green room facilities on Thursday 19th November, plan to donate the poster autographed by more than five celebrities to Blackburn Youth Zone for a raffle.
The signed poster has been autographed by a cavalcade of stars and musicians who performed at this year’s switch on including popstar Alesha Dixon, former X Factor contestant Jake Quickenden, local superbike champion Carl Fogarty and Britain’s Got Talent stars Ella Shaw and Henry Gallagher.
Ellie Foy, Marketing Manager at the Blackburn based law firm, said: “Acting as the backstage for the Blackburn light switch on was a great night. All of the celebrities were lovely and it was an enjoyable, if not surreal experience for us all, it was certainly a change from the usual day in Taylor’s offices!”
Lorna Snape, Office Manager at Taylors, said: “It was a pleasure for Taylors Solicitors to support Blackburn BID by allowing them to use part of our office building as a green room for the Christmas light switch on. It is not every day our meeting rooms are full of TV personalities and watching the Clangers trying to squeeze into the lift was a sight I will never forget.”
The evening, which was hosted by The Bee Radio and compered by BBC Radio Lancashire’s Ted Robbins was organised by the Blackburn BID and Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.
Manager of the Blackburn BID, Harriet Roberts, said: “It’s our way of saying ‘thank you’ to Taylors Solicitors for proving us with a contemporary space for our VIPS and also for going above and beyond on the night.”
