Blackburn with Darwen Council have launched a bus shelter selfie competition to raise awareness during Stoptober.
The competition will see one lucky person win a free month’s membership at Regency Fitness including access to Witton Park Arena, Blackburn Sports and Leisure Centre and Darwen Leisure Centre.
To be in with a chance of winning, snap a selfie with one of the Stoptober posters which can be found on twelve bus stops across the borough before Monday, 10th October 2016.
Entrants must tweet the picture to @refreshbwd using the hashtag#BBStoptober or search for re:fresh on Facebook and comment ‘Support Stoptober’ on the Facebook post with the image attached.
Stoptober, organised by Public Health England, runs until Friday, 28th October and is based on research suggesting that if a smoker quits for 28 days they are five times more likely to quit for good.
The aim of the ‘Snap a Selfie for Stoptober’ competition is to raise awareness about the campaign and local services available to those who want to kick the habit.
