Major coffee shop chain Costa Coffee has opened the doors to its second store in The Mall Blackburn.
The new branch, which is located on Ainsworth Street opposite the bus station, has delighted coffee lovers and created new jobs in the town centre.
Loraine Jones, General Manager at The Mall Blackburn, said: “It is fabulous to see Costa Coffee open its second store here in The Mall, which is testament to its popularity with shoppers.
“Perfectly located just across from the bus station, it will allow people to grab a warm drink on a frosty morning or a quick snack before heading home or to work.
“Blackburn is continuing its transformation, which is gathering pace and creating a real buzz. It is an exciting time to be part of the town and we are thrilled to welcome this fabulous new store during the busy festive season.”
The new Costa Coffee has an outdoor seating area and is located in one of the ground floor units opposite the bus station, with its main access on Ainsworth Street.
The chain’s owner, Whitbread, recently announced that its pre-tax profits rose to £546.3 million earlier this year.
