A dedicated reporter tasked with gathering and distributing positive new stories about the regeneration of Blackburn has been appointed by the Blackburn BID.
Samantha, whose surname is Blackburn appropriately, has a brief to create a directory of levy paying businesses for the new BID website which will be developed as a new marketing portal for the town centre. She will also be a news machine to report on positive stories linked to the on-going efforts to help the town centre revive and thrive and drive footfall to the shops and businesses.
Samantha 21, from Blackburn recently graduated from the University of Salford with a BA (Hons) in Journalism.
She said: “This is really exciting time to be on board with the on-going developments in the town centre. I’m looking forward to meeting the businesses involved and writing some positive stories for the town.”
