(RE)VIEW is the culminating group project by five emerging artists; Amelia Baron, Christian Bell, Susan Brazendale, Francis Martin and Kym Westall, who have come together as part of the Creative Accelerator Project, funded by Arts Council England and The Making Rooms Blackburn.
(RE)VIEW aims to engage the audience to reconnect with Blackburn in a safe and exciting manner. Each artist has created a piece of work about or inspired by a location in Blackburn.
They have focused on the overlooked, revisited the familiar and reflected on the spaces that they live work and play in. At each of these points you can connect with the artist using a smartphone and a QR code and view the work that has been inspired by the location.
A spokesperson said: “Blackburn is an amazing place filled with stories and personal histories and the group are looking to add five more personal takes to this town’s story. It is hoped that after this, elements of their visions and ideas will lead you to (RE)VIEW where you live.”
The project’s ambition is to deliver this project through crowdfunding in which they have devised several unique rewards to thank supporters for their support.
These rewards are based on the group’s artworks and are all Limited Edition collectables. They include a pack of signed postcards, signed project maps and painted laser cut plaques of the door at No15 Bridge Street, in both A6 and A5.

(RE)VIEW intends to launch on the 17 May 2021 alongside the Blackburn Creative Spaces programme.
