Peter Jackson The Jeweller is set to launch their glittering new store in The Mall Blackburn on Friday 9th November as part of its 30th anniversary celebrations.
The longest serving independent retailer in the shopping centre, which first opened in Blackburn in 1988, has relocated to a retail unit twice the size of their previous store and will be offering many exciting new collections and lines.
Located on the site for the former Ed’s Easy Diner, close to many of the leading fashion retailers, the grand opening will be a sparkling event full of fun for all.
The Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen, Councillor Mrs Pat McFall, will be joined by special guests from Blackburn Rovers Premiership winner’s team to officially cut the ribbon at 12.00pm.
Characters from Sleeping Beauty, which is this year’s Pantomime at King George’s Hall, will also be greeting guests.
The champagne will flowing be on Friday and Saturday, when keys also will be handed out to shoppers for them to have a go at unlocking a treasure chest containing a whopping £1000 worth of jewellery, watches and goodies.

“Blackburn has a special place in our hearts and we have built a reputation for quality, value and personal service that continues to grow. We are now selling engagement rings to people who we sold christening gifts for!
“The new location is fantastic, it’s in the fashion sector of The Mall which is one of the busiest areas.
“We have been in The Mall Blackburn for the last 30 years and we’re the oldest independent retailer, a commitment we have reaffirmed with his huge new store – I can’t wait for everyone to see it!”

“The new store promises customers an excellent shopping experience and we are looking forward to seeing the results of months of hard work this Friday.”
Peter Jackson The Jeweller has been a vibrant part of the local community with close ties with Blackburn Rovers FC. It was located in The Mall when the shopping centre was only partially covered.
Blackburn was the second shop to be opened in the Peter Jackson portfolio, which was first launched in Preston; there are also stores in Bury and Carlisle.
Peter added: “We have built the business in Blackburn from nothing to be one of the leading jewellers in the region.
“We are very pleased to be continuing our investment in Blackburn. It is a really exciting place to be right now.”
