Local company Organic Insurance alongside Mortgage and Lending are the latest company to make One Cathedral Square, Blackburn their new base.
The successful company have always had Blackburn at their roots but after looking for a new location have said there was simply “nothing to match” the offering in Blackburn town centre.
Founded in 2010, Organic have grown to now offer a full portfolio of business and personal insurance products along with whole of market mortgage advice to a national customer base but remain firmly committed to the town in which it all began.
Talking about the move to Cathedral Square, director Chris Ridehalgh, said, “We needed to expand and ensure that our staff could communicate easily between each other. The large open plan spaces we have now moved into in Cathedral Square are perfect for us and also mean that staff who rely on public transport to get to work now have much easier journeys into work, making for a happier workforce. Everything is on the doorstep.
“There is nothing else available locally that matches the specification of our new offices and it is the perfect base for us to expand the business and matches our ambitions. We are very much committed to being involved in the local community too and already support local sports clubs and charities and we can only see our bond with Blackburn growing stronger with this move.”
Organic are looking to expand their workforce over time in the town with their move into the realms of pension and financial advice.
Chris added, “We have grown through providing the highest levels of customer service and our ambition to move into more sectors can only benefit the town too.
“With our new base, we hope more people will become aware of Organic and our commitment to the town is a key factor to driving forward our success.”
Harriet Roberts, manager of Blackburn Business Improvement District, added “It is good news to see more jobs moving into the town centre and that Organic have such high ambitions to expand which can only be good for Blackburn. Increasing the quantity and variety of employment opportunities in the BID area gives the surrounding businesses substantial opportunities and benefits too.”
Councillor Phil Riley, Executive Member for Regeneration at Blackburn with Darwen Council, said, “We want to grow all business sectors in Blackburn, and Organic Insurance as specialists in financial services, add a welcome dimension to the town’s business story. It’s great to see a local business doing so well and we’re delighted to welcome them to One Cathedral Square at the heart of our fantastic new development, Cathedral Quarter. With an ever growing number of new businesses basing themselves there and with the fantastic facilities and great restaurants nearby we believe it’s a great place to network and to do business.”
Organic are officially opening their offices at One Cathedral Square on 30th March 2017 with a launch event and have recently become key sponsors of the East Lancashire Hospice Corporate Challenge for the East Lancashire Hospice, which encourages companies to go head-to-head to turn £50 into the most money for the vital work of the hospice.
