Age UK Blackburn with Darwen is offering people over 60 who have not made a will the opportunity to do so.
The local charity has joined with local firm of solicitors, Roebucks, to offer a will-making session on Tuesday 24th April at Blackburn Central Library.
Older people will be able to see a qualified solicitor who will take instructions for their will and offer advice. This service costs £66 (inc VAT) for a basic will.
“If a person dies without having made a will, it can make things more difficult for their affairs to be sorted out and may mean their wishes are not carried out as they would have liked,” said Vicky Shepherd, Age UK’s Chief Executive.
“We hope these events will provide an extra opportunity for older people who want or need to make a will.”
Appointments must be made as numbers are strictly limited. For further details and to book an appointment please contact the Advice and Information Service at Blackburn Central Library or telephone 01254 266620.
