Music Superstore Hunt For Talented Musicians

The search to find talented unsigned musicians and singers in East Lancashire is well and truly under way.

Music superstore Reidys, have brought back Blackburn’s most popular music competition for another year.

Applications for Reidy’s Exposure close on Monday 29th December and auditions will take place throughout January and February 2015 on the Reidys in-store stage. The finale will be held at King George’s Hall in March.

The top prize winners will receive £1000 worth of Reidys Vouchers, a single recording opportunity, a music video worth £1000 and main stage slots at various festivals including Darwen Live and Cloudspotting.

Dale Gardner, Marketing Manager at Reidys Home Of Music said: “We’re really proud of what the previous competitions have achieved over the past couple of years, with artists being scouted by Simon Cowell’s global label SYCO, and going on to support huge names like Judas Priest and James Blunt.

We’re stepping it up a level with the new Reidys Exposure format. There are over £4000 worth of prizes to go for but it’s all about getting new, undiscovered music out there for people to enjoy – which is what any artist wants.”

Each act will be judged on up to three occasions by a panel of professionals on criteria including, songwriting, musical skill and image.

The competition aims to give amateur and semi-professional unsigned musicians and vocalist’s valuable exposure with production companies, recording studios and media outlets.

Previous contestants have gone on to support the likes of Professor Green, Rudimental, Dizzee Rascal and other high profile artists.
