The Mall Blackburn is looking for four local little heroes to treat this Christmas.
After the cancellation of its magical grotto due to Covid-19 restrictions, management at The Mall got in touch with their friend Santa and asked him if he would create personalised videos for children who have gone the extra mile or deserve a treat.
Of course, Santa was more than happy to help and The Mall has launched a competition on its Facebook page for people to nominate children.
Each of the four winners will receive a personalised video in time for Christmas Eve.
Loraine Jones, General Manager at The Mall Blackburn, said: “Christmas is always our favourite time of the year and we were devastated when we had to take the decision not to go ahead with our grotto.
“We were delighted when our friend Santa, who came last year, agreed to record some messages for the wonderful children of Blackburn.
“He is helping us by recording videos for some more people that are very special to us, and we will be releasing more details about this soon.
“It has been a very difficult year for children, they have had a lot to cope with, so we want to make this Christmas extra special for four deserving children.”
Nominations open at 10.00am on Thursday 10th December and close at 11.59pm on Sunday 13th December. Winners will be contacted on Monday 14th and messages will be delivered on Wednesday 23rd December.
