The Mall Blackburn has extended the deadline for local schools to enter its competition to win £250 worth of supplies.
A one-week extension has been announced to encourage teachers to ask pupils to create posters highlighting the need for people to stay safe in the coming months.
With separate categories for primary and secondary schools, there are also individual prizes of a Kindle or a Virtual Reality headset for the children that produce the winning designs.
The chosen primary and secondary schools will each receive £250 of supplies from The Mall’s retailers. Posters will be printed and displayed in The Mall. Deadline for entries is now 5pm on Friday 23rd October and all artwork must be emailed to email@example.com
Loraine Jones, General Manager at The Mall Blackburn, said: “We have had some super entries so far and I’m urging more schools to get involved. “We know that teachers have been extremely busy with adapting to new ways of working and we don’t want anyone to miss out on the chance of winning.
“While the rules do change, the stay safe message will stay the same and we all need to come together and work collectively in the next few months.
“We want to hear and see what the children think and we hope that the designs will inspire the community.”
The competition is open to all schools across Blackburn with Darwen and the designs will also be featured on The Mall’s social media channels.
