It was all hands on deck at The Mall Blackburn as staff and retailers rallied together to raise £1,073.45 for Comic Relief.
Pure Gym Blackburn tackled a bike-a-thon challenge from 9am until 5.30pm in Victoria Court with staff from The Mall and other retailers taking part, while Specsavers also got in the spirit selling official silly glasses. Official comic relief t-shirts were also sold in The Mall for the worthy cause.
Loraine Jones, General Manager at The Mall Blackburn, said: “It was great to see our retailers come together for Red Nose Day and raise vital funds for such a worthy cause.
“The guys at Pure Gym really put their heart and soul into their mega bike-a-thon and I loved seeing other retailers help out and saddle up to keep those wheels turning.
“£1,073.45 is a huge amount of money to raise in just eight and a half hours – everyone involved should be extremely proud of themselves.”
Fundraising activities took place on Red Nose Day, Friday 24th March, in The Mall’s Victoria Court.
