The newest addition to the Kings Barber Club chain of traditional barbers is situated under The Cotton Exchange on King William Street in Blackburn. With its stunning Gothic architecture the basement space makes it the perfect setting for a barbershop.
The shops interior is stylish and welcoming. Marketing Manager, Christopher Dew explains, ‘The shop has been fitted with 1950’s throwback Belmont leather Barbers chairs just like in the movies. Elaborate mirrors and giant images of sporting legends adorn the walls and pillars creating a feeling of a real man cave.’
Kings Barbers Club are highly trained professionals and specialists in scissor cuts, skin fades and hot towel shaves across a variety of hair types including European, Asian and Afro-Caribbean. With the ability to cater for a diverse range of hair types, it’s no wonder they are now the largest chain of barbershops in the UK, being the hair styling preference for thousands of men every week.
A customer at Kings Barbers Club explains, ‘My haircut lasted approximately 20 minutes and was finished to a very high standard indeed, just the way I like it. The barber cleaned up my neckline with a cut throat razor, something I hadn’t seen in a barbershop in this country in years.’
Kings Barbers Club is a West Midlands based company, however the owners were originally from Blackburn and are very excited about returning to the area.
