Holy Trinity Church showcased an exciting light display at the weekend dazzling visitors with a magical night-time illumination.
Onlookers watched as the light display saw the former Anglican parish church come to life with a multi-colour flood light effect as part of the town’s annual ‘Festival of Light’.
Local residents gathered to capture the moment the building lit up on their phones and cameras.
Blackburn People’s Choir performed a selection of Christmas carols, whilst guests were invited to get into the festive spirit with mulled wine and mince pies.
The event, organised by the Blackburn Business Improvement District and Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, concluded the town’s Festival of Light celebrations which began on Thursday, 19th November with the Christmas Lights Switch On.
Councillor Phil Riley, Executive Member for Regeneration, said: “There are some great photos from the Festival of Light Grand Finale event. The lighting show was wonderful with a real community atmosphere and I would like to thank everyone involved for organising the event.”
