Have your say at Blackburn BID’s AGM

Traders in the town centre are invited to a showcase of exciting projects and events happening in 2016 when the Blackburn BID holds its annual general meeting next month at the University Centre, Blackburn College.

Guest speaker will be Mike Evans from The Retail Group who will bring together his independent research and recommendations for the town based on the consultation work he has been doing in Blackburn recently, national high street trends and changing public spending and leisure habits.

There will be updates on the major festivals including Blackburn Cathedral Flower Festival, Countryside Comes to Town, Christmas events, the Festival of Making and the regeneration development projects happening across the town centre.

A light supper will be served with the opportunity to meet traders and decision makers face to face with a variety of showcase stands for projects, events and new businesses to promote their services.

Invitations to the AGM and an agenda have been sent out to all levy payers who will have the opportunity to be voted on to the BID Executive Steering Committee or to nominate members.

The AGM takes place on Monday, 22 February in the University Centre Theatre, Blackburn College with formal business commencing at 18:30.
