Half term rocks at The Mall Blackburn

It’s paintbrushes poised and rocks at the ready at The Mall Blackburn this half term!

The shopping centre will be holding free Father’s Day craft workshops and rock-painting sessions for little shoppers.

From Saturday 26th until Tuesday 29th May children can get ready for Dad’s special day with a range of crafty inspiration.

Then, from Wednesday 30th May until Saturday 2nd June budding artists can take part in the latest craze to hit the UK by decorating rocks!

Millions of people across the UK have been taking part in the popular pastime this year, which involves painting stones with pictures and messages and then hiding them. The finder then posts pictures on social media for all to see!

Laura Diffey, Marketing Manager at The Mall Blackburn, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer these workshops to children over the half term holidays.

“Father’s Day isn’t too far away and kids can get prepared ahead of time to avoid the last minute rush!

“The whole team are really looking forward to the rock painting activity too. Finding these rocks can really make someone’s day and the artwork on some of the ones I have seen out and about is stunning!

“It is an activity that you can enjoy whatever the weather, painting the rocks if the weather isn’t great and then going to hide, and see if you can find some, when the sun comes out!”

The free workshops will take place in front of The Mall’s Ask Me Point in Victoria Court from 11.00am until 4.00pm. There will also be special guest appearances from The Mall Monster.
