Our weekly working group meetings begin again next week with Greener Cleaner on Tuesday 23 January. Amongst other topics, this will be the first discussion about entering the RHS Britain in Bloom Awards. We’re keen to maintain our gold standard regional and national awards this year. For the last 4 years we have invested an additional £30,000 in planting and maintenance in the town centre and the planters and basket always illicit positive feedback from visitors. You can register to attend here.
Working Group meetings are an opportunity for members to have their say about a wide range of issues and are attended by other stakeholders such as police, Council officers and voluntary sector organisations.
These working group meetings are listed on the BID website and take place every Tuesday morning at 11am under four topics linked to the business plan;
Marketing and Events
Safe and Secure
Attract and Support
Greener, Cleaner
They are usually held in the Training Room on the first floor at The Mall.
We understand that it can be difficult to get away from your business to attend meetings, so this year we have a new digital facility, exclusively for BID levy payers. As part of your membership you can set up a log in to use the Blackburn BID portal: www.blackburnbid.co.uk.
This is where you will find a list of events, minutes of the meetings, footfall information and discussion groups where you can report issues, share ideas and take part in conversations.
