Festive Saturdays begin in Blackburn Town Centre

Be Surprised on each of the four Saturdays in the run up to Christmas, when there will be lots of fun activities to keep the whole family entertained in Blackburn Town Centre, each on a different seasonal theme.

Come along to the mini festival of everything Fairy Tale, on Saturday 29th November 2014, for a magical start to your Christmas festivities.

There’ll be lots of free, fun activities & attractions on King William Street, in the library & the museum, all on a Fairy Tale theme to entertain the children – theatre, singing, magic, storytelling, face painting, crafts & lantern workshops. Children are invited to come in fancy dress.

Be enchanted by the Juggling Winter Fairy as she wanders around the town centre . She will be in Blackburn Market & town centre through the day.

Join the Snow Princess and sing some popular songs & learn all about being a princess, on King William St from 11am to 12.30pm

Meet the magical miniature pony, his fairy friend & the wise owl, King William Street, 11am – 4pm

Have your face painted to look like your favourite mystical character, in King William Street, 11am -4pm

Make some Christmas crafts on King William Street from 11am to 4pm & also in Blackburn Museum from 12 – 4pm

Listen to festive carols sung by the popular Blackburn’s People Choir on King William Street at 12 noon, 1pm & 2pm.

Get ready for our popular Lantern Parade (11th December) by helping to make lanterns. There will be a free drop in workshop in Blackburn Library from 12.30 to 3.30pm

Have your family photo taken in the Victorian Photo Booth in Blackburn Market.(Charges apply)
