Employment support for those aged 50+

Are you 50+, and wanting to get back into employment?

On the first Thursday of every month between 1 and 4 pm at the Employability Hub on the ground floor of Blackburn Library, you can access support to help you map out your career journey and plan your route to making it happen.

Access 1-1 CV support, interview techniques and help identifying transferable skills, or courses to gain qualifications, and help you realise your potential.  There is also digital support with online applications to help you get started with registering on job search platforms.

Not ready for work?  You can also access support with mental health and wellbeing, financial advice, and a buddy system that helps to improve motivation and confidence and can help reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness.

Drop in at the hub, there’s no need for an appointment and if you can’t make the session or prefer to talk over the phone, contact Rebecca and she will be in touch.
