A brand new family home worth £250,000 is being given away in a prize draw to raise money for Derian House Children’s Hospice in Chorley.

The three-bedroom home in Feniscowles, Blackburn, has been donated by Kingswood Homes and unlike other competitions of this nature, 100% of ticket sales will go to the charity – helping seriously ill children from across the North West to make precious memories with their families.

You can buy tickets to the Great Big House Giveaway prize draw by visiting Tickets start from just £5 for a bundle of six entries. The more tickets bought, the better value, with £100 buying 250 entries.

There will be a guaranteed winner of the prize draw, to be announced at a glittering gala ball in September.

Homes at Kingswood’s Green Hills development, where the property is located, have been designed by HemingwayDesign, the company co-founded by Blackburn-raised Wayne Hemingway MBE.

Kari Hewitt, from Darwen (pictured), uses services at Derian House Children’s Hospice with her one-year-old son Freddie, who has a rare genetic condition which means he may never walk or talk.

She said: “Freddie loves coming to Derian House. He smiled for the first time whilst in the hydrotherapy pool there, which is a moment I will always treasure.

“We all get so much out of coming to the hospice. We’ve made new friends at playgroup and it’s a lovely atmosphere. You feel accepted and the staff are all so friendly and warm.”
