Budding artists are having a rocking time at The Mall Blackburn this half term!
Children have been coming from across the county and beyond to take part in the latest kids craze – rock painting!
The free workshops are taking place from Wednesday 30th May until Saturday 2nd in front of the shopping centre’s Ask Me Point in Victoria Court.
Millions of people across the UK have been taking part in the popular pastime this year, which involves painting stones with pictures and messages and then hiding them. The finder then posts pictures on social media for all to see!
Laura Diffey, Marketing Manager at The Mall Blackburn, said: “It is fantastic to see so many children having a great time here at The Mall.
“The Father’s Day crafts activities that we held earlier in the week were really popular and the rock painting sessions are proving a real hit!
“It is an activity that you can enjoy whatever the weather, painting the rocks if the weather isn’t great and then going to hide, and see if you can find some, when the sun comes out again!”
“The designs we have seen so far are really cute and even the staff have been trying their hand at painting some rocks!”
The free workshops are taking place in front of The Mall’s Ask Me Point in Victoria Court from 11.00am until 4.00pm. There will also be special guest appearances from The Mall Monster.
