The Blackburn BID is pleased to announce one of the town centre’s largest outdoor specialists has introduced a personal in-store service crafting custom-built insoles.
Each pair of tailor made insoles which are designed to improve sports activities including, skiing, walking, golfing and football takes 15 minutes to produce in-store.
The outdoor superstore hopes the bespoke service, which is only available in their King Street shop, brings people back into shopping locally. Buyer at Outdoor Action, Andy Holford, explains: “We are pleased to be offering this bespoke service to our customers as it isn’t something readily available on the internet.
“The custom-made insoles resolve issues for the people with flat feet or a high instep looking for a pair of comfortable outdoor footwear. Each pod, designed by footbed specialists Superfeet, measures the customer’s feet before we create a custom pair of insoles using the heated compartment that is part of the Fit Pod.
“The pods have only just started appearing in shops early this year which makes the machines quite a unique addition to the area.”
Outdoor Action is a long established family business based in the heart of the BID area which has been supplying outdoor equipment for over 40 years.
