What impact will moving premises have on financial support?

I’m looking at moving my business premises – I’m in the fitness and leisure sector and I want to move my studios to bigger, better accommodation, but the premises I want means I would go from being liable for business rates (although I get small business rate relief) and bills myself, to all bills including business rates being included in my rent. I’d ideally like to move before we can re-open so i can have a fresh start and I can be ready to welcome more people to my studio. Should I move now? Will this impact on the grants I am eligible for?

When rates are included in your rent - you have the option to apply for the discretionary - however, I would suggest its worth talking to your council before moving to see how they see it affecting you.
