The Queen’s forthcoming Maundy Thursday visit to Blackburn is just one of the topics on the breakfast agenda next Thursday at Liz ‘n’ Lil’s BID Breakfast.  Clare Turner, Regeneration Manager will explain how the event could attract thousands of people into the town centre and opportunities for increasing business footfall.

Traders and local businesses are also invited to share ideas for events and find out about the council’s plans for reviving the night time economy and the Blackburn is Open work with Wayne Hemmingway.

BID chairman, Mark Smith explains, ‘These meetings are a great way for traders to find out what the council are doing to improve things as well as providing an opportunity share ideas, opinions and suggestions about what they’d like to see done to regenerate the town centre.  BID is about how we can best add value to what the council are doing and to bring new ideas to the table.  As the BID begins to formulate our business plan for what we aim to achieve in the first 12 months of the BID, traders can have an active voice in making things happen and meetings like this will be used to keep levy payers up to date.’
